In short
- Insyt sets no cookies of its own.
- If you choose "Accept analytics", Google Analytics sets two cookies. If you choose "Reject", Google Analytics does not load at all.
- Insyt also keeps a few settings in your browser so the features you use work. They are never sent to Insyt.
01Analytics cookies, only with your consent
- Names
- _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID for Insyt

- Google Analytics, for insyt.se
- Purpose
- to tell visits apart, so we can count how many people use each page
- What they hold
- a random number and the time of your visit. They do not hold your name or your email address.
- How long
- up to 2 years, unless you reject analytics or clear them. Google keeps the analytics data for up to 14 months.
- Is consent needed?
- Yes. They are set only after you choose "Accept analytics".
We tell Google Analytics not to use your visit for advertising.
02What Insyt keeps in your browser

- your answer to the analytics question and the date you gave it
- insyt-start
- your Get started answers: first name, role, stage, the skills you marked, your direction and your picture
- insyt_tailor
- your choices in "See Insyt for your role" on the home page
- insyt-course-role
- the role and stage you chose before starting a Path, so you are not asked again
- insyt-…-mock-v2
- one per Path: the sections you finished, your answers and the module checks you passed
- insyt-xlw-v2
- your changes to the workbooks inside Excel for Analysis
- insyt-practice-v2, insyt-excel-practice-v1
- your company, requests and queries in the free SQL and Excel practice
- insyt-role, insyt-display, insyt-gl-role
- the role you picked on role and glossary pages, so examples match it
- insyt-explore
- your saved role and stage
- insyt-theme
- whether you chose the light or dark background
These stay until you clear them. They are needed for features you asked for, so the law does not require consent for them.
03Change your mind
- Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you choose "Reject", Google Analytics stops and we delete its cookies from your browser.
- Choose Start again at the end of Get started to remove your answers.
- You can also clear everything in your browser's settings, under cookies and site data.
04What Insyt does not use
- No advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media buttons.
- Fonts and images come from insyt.se. Google Analytics is the only service from another company, and it loads only if you accept.
- The Paths run in your browser. What you type in them is not sent to Insyt.
05Changes and questions
