Definition
The scale along the side or bottom of a chart that you read values against. Check where the axis starts. An axis that does not start at zero can make small differences look large.
Example
Nord Signal's pass success was 99.6% against a 99.7% target. On an axis from 99.5% to 99.8% the gap looks huge. On an axis from 0% it is almost invisible.
Nord Signal AB is a fictional company created for Insyt.
